Surface Preparation: Clean the area thoroughly to remove dust, grease, or wax. Use a degreaser or isopropyl alcohol. If there is surface rust or roughness, sand lightly (e.g. 800-grit sandpaper) to create a smooth base.
Primer (Optional but Recommended): On bare metal or repaired spots, apply a primer/surfacer first to improve adhesion and prevent rust.
Shake the Can Well: Shake for at least 2 minutes to ensure pigment and solvent mix.
Spray Technique: Hold the can 6–8 inches (15–20 cm) from the surface. Apply in light, even strokes—do 2–3 thin coats rather than one heavy coat. Wait 2–3 minutes between coats.
Drying: Allow surface to dry between coats. After the final coat, let it set for 24 hours to fully cure under ambient temperature.
