The Hukums 19 mm Vertical Bench Drill Machine is engineered to deliver industrial-grade drilling performance while remaining compact enough for small workshops and garage setups. Its strong cast-metal construction ensures long life, low vibration and consistent accuracy. With a no-load speed of around 1500 rpm (depending on motor fitment), the drill press offers an excellent balance of torque and speed, suitable for drilling stainless steel, mild steel, hardwood, plywood, acrylic, PVC, aluminium sections and more.
The included drill chuck, arbor and sleeve make installation easier, allowing you to start drilling soon after mounting the motor. The large working table surface ensures steady support for small and medium-sized jobs.
This bench drill machine is ideal for:
Metal fabrication shops
Welding & repair workshops
Small manufacturing units
Woodworking and carpentry workshops
Home workshops and garage setups
DIY enthusiasts and hobby machinists
Automobile repair and part-making units
Engineering labs and training institutes
If you need a durable, accurate and high-capacity bench drill without paying extra for a bundled motor, this model offers excellent value.
Handles medium and heavy drilling tasks in metal and wood with ease. Suitable for steel plates, alloy rods, wooden blocks, angle sections and industrial components.
You can choose the best 1 HP–1.5 HP motor depending on your work type. Great for workshops that already have spare motors or want full control over torque.
The rigid pillar column, stable base and balanced table ensure minimal vibration, which results in precise, clean drilling.
Built for 220–240 V supply, rough use and long working hours. The heavy construction withstands daily fabrication workloads.
Drill through stainless steel, MS sheets, flats, wooden planks, hardwood, aluminium channels and more using the correct drill bits.
Compact 3.7 ft height makes it easy to place on workshop floors or benches. Large 254 mm table makes clamping easier for safe drilling.
Drilling capacity: 19 mm (3/4 inch)
Type: Vertical Bench / Pillar Drill Press
Motor required: 1 HP–1.5 HP (not included)
No-load speed: Approx. 1500 rpm
Voltage: 220–240 V AC
Table surface width: 254 mm
Machine height: Approx. 3.7 ft
Suitable for metal, wood, aluminium and composite drilling
Accessories included: Drill chuck, arbor, drill sleeve
Construction: Heavy-duty cast-metal body
Usage style: Stationary bench/floor mounted
The 1500 rpm speed (after motor installation) provides just the right amount of torque for steel and speed for wood. This prevents burning in wood and overheating in metal.
From HSS bits to carbide and woodworking bits, the machine can handle various tool types. With the included chuck, most standard bit sizes can be mounted.
The vertical column guides the spindle accurately downward. This ensures correct bore alignment, which is crucial when making precision parts or jigs.
Thanks to its heavy body construction and balanced table, the machine minimises wobble. This results in cleaner holes, smoother finishes, and reduced drill bit wear.
Whether you’re drilling vehicle parts, metal brackets, hinge holes, furniture joints or electrical panel plates, this drill press gives much better control than handheld drills.
Mount the drill press securely on a stable floor or bench.
Install a suitable 1–1.5 HP motor using the motor bracket.
Connect and align the belt pulley between motor and drill head.
Insert the correct drill bit into the chuck and tighten it firmly.
Adjust table height and angle according to the workpiece.
Clamp the material securely on the table to avoid movement.
Switch on motor and feed the handle steadily, applying even pressure.
For metal drilling, use cutting oil to extend bit life.
After drilling, switch off motor and wait for spindle to stop.
Remove material safely and clean the area.
Keep the drill column and spindle lightly lubricated.
Clean chips and dust after every session.
Use sharp drill bits for better output and lower motor strain.
Avoid forcing the bit; let the machine feed naturally.
Check pulley belt tightness periodically.
Keep electrical connections safe and dry.
Cover the machine when not in use to protect from dust.
