The LG Magic Remote MR20GA (AKB[removed]) is a premium replacement remote designed specifically for LG Smart TVs running WebOS. If you are looking for an easy and intuitive way to control your LG OLED, LED, or 4K UHD TV, this magic remote offers a smarter way to navigate your TV interface. It combines voice command, pointer control, scroll wheel navigation and dedicated OTT hotkeys for Netflix and Prime Video. This remote is ideal for users who want the convenience of voice search and quick access to streaming apps, along with the precision of a pointer control.
Compatibility
This LG Magic Remote is compatible with a wide range of LG Smart TVs including OLED, LED, and 4K UHD models. It works best with LG TVs that support WebOS and Bluetooth remote connection. It is also compatible with many LG TV models that use the AKB[removed] remote control system. However, compatibility may vary depending on the TV series and model year. Before purchasing, confirm your TV model supports MR20GA or AKB[removed] to ensure full functionality.
Design & Build
The remote comes in a sleek black finish and features an ergonomic design that fits comfortably in your hand. The buttons are arranged for easy navigation, with dedicated hotkeys for popular streaming services. The pointer function lets you move the cursor on screen like a mouse, making it easier to select apps, browse menus, and navigate the internet. The scroll wheel adds another level of convenience, allowing quick scrolling through lists, settings, and web pages. The remote uses AA batteries for power and is built to last with a sturdy body and responsive buttons.
Voice Control & Smart Navigation
One of the key advantages of the LG Magic Remote MR20GA is the voice control feature. With built-in voice recognition, you can simply press the voice button and speak commands to search for content, open apps, adjust volume, change channels, and even control smart home devices if your TV supports them. Voice control reduces the need for typing and makes searching faster and more convenient. Whether you want to search for a movie on Netflix, open Prime Video, or launch your favourite app, the voice feature makes it simple.
Pointer & Scroll Wheel
The pointer feature works like a wireless mouse. Point the remote at the screen and move your hand to control the on-screen cursor. This is especially useful when browsing the internet, navigating settings, or selecting apps. The scroll wheel further enhances usability by allowing smooth navigation through long lists and menus. Together, these features make the remote feel like a modern smart TV controller rather than a traditional remote.
OTT Hotkeys for Netflix & Prime Video
This magic remote comes with dedicated hotkeys for Netflix and Prime Video. With a single press, you can instantly open your favourite streaming app without navigating through menus. This is a major convenience for frequent streamers and makes the remote ideal for modern entertainment setups.
Easy Pairing & Setup
Setting up the LG Magic Remote MR20GA is quick and simple. Insert AA batteries, point the remote at your TV, and press the pairing button or scroll wheel as instructed in your TV’s settings. The TV will detect the remote and connect automatically. Once paired, the remote is ready to use for all supported functions, including voice commands and pointer navigation.
